School Horse Lessons
(Effective September 1, 2008)
Eremon Farm offers school horse lessons for all levels and ages. We also specialize in children’s instruction, adult beginners and those new to horse ownership.
Eremon Farm offers both private and group lessons on our fun, safe and trained school horses and ponies. Below is a list of our lesson policies
-
Each new rider must participate in an introductory lesson in order to
evaluate his/her riding level/skills. After that lesson, student and
instructor will discuss riding goals and decide on the best lesson
situation and schedule.
-
Each student must take at least one lesson per week to participate in our
school horse program. We are a tuition-based program, which
means that there is a flat monthly fee, regardless of the number of
days/lessons that occur in the month, or how many you are able to attend
for any reason. The flat monthly rate for one lesson per week is $194.00,
and for two lessons per week, $388.00. While we cannot offer
make-ups for missed lessons, please keep in mind there will be months in
the year that you receive extra lessons (i.e. some months have five of
a certain day instead of the regular four.)
-
All students must remain prepaid one full month in advance at all times. All
payments are due no later than the first day of each month.
-
All lessons must be taken within the month for which they are purchased.
-
Eremon Farm requires that appropriate shoes and
head protection be worn by all students at all times while mounted on
the property. Talk to your trainer about appropriate riding equipment.
* NOTE * - All introductory lessons are $55.00.
One-hour private beginner's lesson
Monthly tuition |
$250.00 |
Given to any beginning rider. This lesson includes learning how to groom, tack-up, un-tack, ride and care for your horse. Riders starting with these lessons will need to continue until they are able to tack up and arrive in the arena for their lesson at the designated time. Depending on age, skill level and ability, riding time is usually 30 minutes.
* Note * The ultimate goal for all riders should be to join a group lesson as soon as
they are able to, as group lessons offer another level of learning that
cannot be accomplished in private lessons. Most riders are able to
master the basic riding and tacking skills necessary to join a group
lesson within 60 days. However, if after 60 days a student is still in
need of private lessons you will need to check with your instructor
regarding schedule availability.
Group lesson (2-3 riders)
Monthly tuition to ride in one lesson per week |
$194.00 |
Monthly tuition to ride in two lessons per week |
$388.00 |
For those students who are able to tack-up their mounts and arrive in the arena ready to begin their lesson.
Lesson times are no less than one hour, and will run based on the number of students per lesson.
Private Lessons
$60.00 - $65.00 each (Depending on lesson type - i.e. flat or jumping)
Private lessons are available by request for riders who are able to tack
and arrive in the arena for their lesson. These lessons last for
approximately 45 - 60 minutes (depending on level and type of riding
being done).
* Note * - Private lessons for riders who are still in
need of the "one-hour private beginner's lesson" will adhere to the same
lesson description as posted above until they are able to join group
lessons.
